About The Project

Ever since the earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010, I’ve had a deep desire to go help with the rebuilding process, but I wasn’t sure how I could help. I pushed these thoughts to the back of my mind thinking it was not something I should pursue at this time… but I had no idea what was coming.

I was watching this year’s auditions of the widely popular reality show America’s Got Talent, when an unusual group called Harmonik walked onto the stage. Harmonik is a band formed of Haitian American musicians. In their interview, they said that there are very few musicians in Haiti because of the great lack of instruments. Within the next few weeks, God began to put a real passion in my heart for the Haitians! That passion has developed into Harmony For Haiti, a project developed to raise awareness of the need to redeem Haiti’s music culture, and cultivate it to bring glory to God!

Partnering with YWAM Haiti – a local base for Youth With A Mission – our immediate goal is to have as many guitars donated and shipped to their location as possible. Then we hope to send a team of musicians down to YWAM Haiti to run a music camp for local aspiring musicians. That team will also participate in some sort of service project to be named later to assist in rebuilding the community.

Please pray for this project, that God will open the right doors for supporters, sponsors and musicians!  If this is truly God’s plan, we expect it to expand very quickly! Who knows where this could ultimately go?
